That’s the slogan of Digging Deep©, our new premier service to uncover the deep roots of your family tree. If you don’t already have a basic family tree established, we would start with that and then use it as a springboard to more detailed research on your ancestors. If you already have a basic tree done, we would begin from there and dig as deeply into your family history as you desire.

Services can include a variety of areas of focus of your choosing:

• Traveling to the areas where your ancestors lived and delving deeply into local records
• Interviewing elderly members of a community who might remember your relatives
• Photographing places your ancestors lived
• Photographing tombstones of your family
• Compiling references to your ancestors in newspapers and books
• Conducting land research for properties held by your family
• Other research that “breathes life” into your ancestors!

The Digging Deep© in-depth genealogy research service essentially works like a detective service. We hold an initial free consultation with you to define the scope of work you want done. We then give an estimate of hours, specify an initial retainer, and conduct the research at an hourly rate of $40/hour plus expenses basis. We send e-bulletins to you as the work progresses and present the final product in written form.

Should you so choose, we also have access to graphic artists who can present some options for high-end visual presentations of the materials we find.
